Lebanese Government Gives Final Warning To Hezbollah

The Lebanese government has publicly urged the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah to avoid involvement in any potential conflict between the United States and Iran, according to statements by Lebanon’s foreign minister in Geneva.

Officials expressed deep concern that Hezbollah’s entry into a wider conflict could draw Lebanon into devastating hostilities, especially with neighbouring Israel and heightened regional tensions.

Beirut warned that renewed fighting could see civilian infrastructure targeted and further strain the fragile state.

The appeal reflects mounting fears of escalation as military movements and diplomatic fractures continue to unfold.
