Iranian gas supplies to Turkey have reportedly been halted following the attack on the South Pars gas field, according to Bloomberg.
The disruption marks another sign of how the war is now spilling into regional energy flows, with damage to critical infrastructure beginning to affect neighbouring countries directly.
South Pars is one of the world’s most important gas fields and plays a major role in Iran’s domestic energy system as well as exports.
Any prolonged outage could increase pressure on Turkey’s energy market and add to wider concerns over supply disruption across the region as the conflict continues to escalate.
