The Pentagon is drawing up plans to suspend Spain’s NATO membership, Reuters revealed today, as punishment for Madrid’s refusal to grant US aircraft access to NATO bases in Spain during the war against Iran.
The proposals target allies who declined to fight alongside Washington or criticised Israel, with senior officials openly framing it as a test of obedience.
